Who we are and what this covers

TagneticAI LLP (“TagneticAI”, “we”, “us”) is a limited liability partnership registered in India. We decide how and why the personal data described in this policy is used, which makes us its data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and its controller under the GDPR, where that law applies).

This policy covers personal data we collect through this website, including enquiries sent through our contact form, emails you send us and job applications.

It does not cover data our clients send us to label. When a client shares datasets with us for annotation, we handle that data on the client's instructions and under the confidentiality and data protection terms of our agreement with them. If your personal data appears in a client's dataset, please contact that client first; we will help them respond.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form we receive your name, work email, company name, the type of data you work with and the project details you write. When you email us, we receive your message, your email address and anything you attach. When you apply for a role, we receive your CV and any other details you choose to include.

Information collected automatically. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website. As with any website, the servers that host it, and the content delivery services that supply its images and video, receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page or file: your IP address, browser and device type, the page or file requested, and the date and time. This is used to deliver and secure the website.

Please don't send us sensitive personal data (such as health, financial or government ID information) through the website. If a project involves such data, we will agree a secure way to handle it before any is shared.

How we use your information

We use personal data only for these purposes:

• to reply to your enquiry and discuss, scope and price a project;
• to enter into and carry out an agreement with you or your organisation;
• to assess job applications and contact candidates;
• to keep the website running, secure and free of abuse; and
• to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Our legal grounds

Under Indian law, we process the personal data you choose to send us for the purpose you sent it for (such as answering your enquiry or considering your application), and otherwise on the basis of your consent or where the law requires or permits it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; this does not affect processing that has already taken place.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, recruiting and running a secure website; compliance with legal obligations; and, where needed, your consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed, with:

• service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and website hosting providers, any form-delivery service that passes contact form messages to our inbox, and content delivery services that supply the website's images and video;
• professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under a duty of confidentiality;
• government authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it; and
• a buyer or successor, if our business is reorganised, merged or sold.

Our service providers may process data outside India. Where they do, we take steps to ensure the data stays protected in line with applicable law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries are kept while we are in discussion with you and for as long as any resulting business relationship lasts, plus any period the law requires us to keep records. If an application is unsuccessful, we delete it within a reasonable period unless you ask us to keep it on file for future roles.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices and procedures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss, and we limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending anything sensitive through the website or by ordinary email.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
• have your data erased once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• withdraw consent you have given;
• have your grievances addressed by us; and
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.

Cookies

We do not set cookies on this website. A service that delivers some of our images may set one strictly necessary security cookie. Our Cookie Policy explains the details.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and job seekers aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to other websites, such as our social media profiles. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on this page.

Contact and grievances

For questions about this policy, requests about your personal data or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge your message and aim to resolve it promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, to your local data protection authority.
